I am an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Palermo and a Research Fellow at the International Centre for Economic Analysis, a non-profit Research Institute at Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada.

I am mainly interested in applied spatial economics research in the field of agriculture/environment, development, and health economics.

Besides academic work, I have served as consultant to multiple international organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and the World Bank.
